The Solartron Analytical CellTest (1470E) is a high-performance multichannel potentiostat system designed for the complete DC and impedance characterization of energy storage and conversion devices, including batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors. Its exceptional speed, resolution, and dynamic range also make it ideal for advanced electrochemical research applications such as corrosion, coatings, sensors, and materials analysis.
Each 1470E unit provides eight fully independent, floating potentiostat channels, allowing simultaneous testing of up to eight separate cells. Every channel operates independently, enabling users to run identical or completely different experiments on each cell at the same time. When combined with Solartron 1455A or 1451A Frequency Response Analyzers (FRAs), the system supports simultaneous Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) across multiple channels with industry-leading accuracy.
The CellTest platform supports both simultaneous and multiplexed impedance measurements, Ethernet-based remote control, and full integration with temperature-controlled ovens and furnaces. This makes it one of the most advanced multichannel battery and fuel cell test systems available, delivering unmatched flexibility, scalability, and measurement integrity.
